I'm going to be making over the site in December, so expect some changes in the next few weeks. All of our forum stuff will be lost, so if you want to save any of it, start coping and pasting now! I'm going to try to save all of our pictures, so hopefully that won't be lost.

So yeah, got my plane tickets together to head over and hang with Brandon in March, then go and hit Penny Arcade Expo with him. I need to have them route my flight by Justin's house, so I can kidnap him on my way (or at least man-hump him) Come on Dan, 3 day weekend of gaming should be enough for you to brave the airplane, we'll make sure they throw some drinks your way : )
Anyways, should be pretty rockin. Have my netbook and man-purse all ready to go. And yes, my man-purse comes with a concealed carry holster. |

We have our computer set up again and I finally got a chance to look at the site. I haven't been on since sept. 30th! does not seem possible. so much has happened and is yet to happen for us.
God finally decided the time was right for Dan to meet the girl of his dreams and he will be marrying Jocelyn this coming Saturday! I think I'm more excited about his wedding than I was my own. I find myself telling people once I get the boy married off I can die happy. I'm ready to see Jesus! They don't seem to think that's very funny. I'm not trying to be funny. I'm serious. Both my children will be happy and into their own lives ... my work is done!
We also had to move out of our little shack in Timewell and rent a place in the big city of Quincy. |

Sorta... I'm still...faceless... Heh. But oh well.
Ben is working nights at a detention center lately, so I tend to stay up late. It's kinda funny, but I think he makes a good CO. He's getting his conceal and carry license soon, so we'll be in the market for a good handgun of some nature. He also wants me to get a license, so we may be looking for TWO. Any good ideas? Maybe not REALLY expensive?
Also, has anyone heard any real reviews/know much about StarCraft 2? I think I want to get it. It's the only thing on my Christmas list at this point... |

So yeah, anyone else play the old Castlevania games? Not just me? Using a whip as your primary weapon always seemed a bit impractical... Then I saw this Robot Chicken video and can't stop cracking up at it...

 So quiet here lately... Makes me sad...
Well, a few days ago we found out that we're not heading to Japan as early as we had expected. Turns out we're not due to arrive there until March! Probably won't have to start work until April, even. We are so very happy for the extra time... I was freaking out, lol. But I had gotten myself into gear and been packing, and now don't quite know what to do with myself... Or these boxes... Figures, right? lol |

I hadn't been on in a while, but I see the site is back and better than ever! With the possible exception of the arcade, but whatevs... :D
I had an exciting weekend... I was actually GONE for most of it, leaving the girls home with Ben for long stretches! He seems to do better watching them than he used to... Heh. I gave a short talk at a women's conference in Kansas City on Friday, which was quite cool! Got to see some old friends I'd not seen in something like 5 years, so it was all around a good time!

It's been so nice having him home again...
I was standing with all the other excited wives, waiting for the men to get off the plane, and mentioned how I wish they'd all walk faster... Seriously, the new dads get off first, and they take their sweet sweet time walking across the airfield to get to their families. And they kinda set the pace for everyone else...
So the ladies are scanning the distant faces, the height, postures, and some even how the people walk, trying to figure out where their man is as soon as possible. They park the plane so far away, you can't even tell the marines from the desert Seabee uniforms. So I mentioned mine would be easy to spot. He's the one that moves the fastest... My man can run.
Sure enough, a figure in quite a hurry took off sprinting as soon as he hit the California soil. I screamed "There he is!" and ran for the fence. I couldn't even make out his face until he was halfway there. Apparently he yelled "Screw you guys!" as he raced past the new dads, the barrier, and then into my arms. He wasn't a new dad, that's for sure, but I was one of the very first ladies to get her man back anyways.
Let's just say he made all the other men look bad, and I'm sure some got a bit of talking to for it afterwords. lol He always gets other men in trouble for outshining them as husbands/boyfriends... *sighs* |
