Dan's Wipeout
NoelleHey, I uploaded the video of Dan wiping out from my phone, onto my Myspace page. No wonder he's still hurting ^_^;
Living it up on the lake
JustinMandy, Dan, Noelle, and I are up in Wisconsin with some friends right now. We are staying in a beautiful house right on the lake. Yesterday we went tubing on the lake, it was a blast. We have a video of Dan in a spectacular crash, but we don't have the means of getting it off of Noelle's phone at the moment. It will definitely be posted here once we do though =)

It's amazing here and I don't think I want to leave!
Grandpa Ritchey died
AuntBobDavid's dad died Tues. May 26th. Almost exactly 2 years to the day that we were all put on death watch because he wasn't going to live thru Memorial Weekend.

Memorial Day 2006 he fell down the stairs and as Dave put it, "he's a tough old bird. Fell down a full flight of stairs and got back up. Just fine."

The week before Memorial Weekend 2007 he was diagnosed w/an enlarged heart and fluid on his lungs and death was imminent. What do doctors know???? Not much when it comes to old people and when they're gonna die.

At any rate, Dad's health had been failing and he was pretty much "out of it" and bedridden these past few months. It was time and he was ready. David is grieving, but relieved that his father's suffering is finally over. As are the rest of us.

Dad Ritchey was a hoot to hang out with. You never knew when he was telling the truth or when he was having a really good time at your expense. He always had a lot of fun w/my gullibility. Such as how the flies would stay away if we used white napkins at picnics because they didn't like white.

I believed everything he said until I saw other people laughing. That's how I will remember him. Always giving me a run for my mental money. And I always came up overdrawn. He was a neat ole guy and we have already been missing him, but now we will miss him even more.

We will be gone for the weekend. I'll get back in touch when we return.
This was hilarious...

Wow...

Oh man, this was funny, its a REAL AD for a business in Kentucky.
I have a new sister!
JenniferSo my brother Isaac got married yesterday! It was pretty much AWESOME... I didn't get a lot of pictures of the actual ceremony, since my camera doesn't work well when the lights are that dim, but it was still great! Three brothers now married off, only two sisters and two brothers to go! :D I have to say, this wedding had the most flawless candlelighting I've EVER seen! The lighters didn't go out, they didn't take FOREVER, and the song wasn't over before they were done.

My all-encompassing project the last two weeks has been to make their wedding cake, which was my wedding present to them. They loved it, loved all the flavors, all went well! I posted a few pictures in the photo albums, but here's one of the happy couple after the jump!

it's your birthday
Kathyhappy birthday to mandy and a belated birthday to aunt bob
In a parallel dimension, I died this morning.
DanIt has been a crazy weekend, but overall a very good time.
I took Thursday and Friday off for vacation to head to Chicago and attend Anime Central with the family.
Thursday morning I pack the truck, and head over to the church to work on the sound system that had suddenly started acting up.
After determining the problem was 3 of the 4 microphones were blown, I promptly headed out.
I stopped by the manufacturing facility of the company I work for and grabbed a battery pack from the dead pile that still had a pretty good charge. Taking apart the pack, I rewired the batteries from a series putting out 3.6 volts to parallel producing 14.4 volts.
I then hit the road for Chicago with my laptop/GPS available, but not running.

DAVE HAD CATARACT SURGERY AND MAMA LET US LIVE THRU EASTER!!!!
AuntBobWell, even though we managed to get Mama home from the hospital before Easter, she just wasn't quite up to Easter services at church. So Dave and I went to the Saturday night service (Dan was home so the 3 of us got to go together -- happiness). Then Sunday morning we headed to Bushnell to let Cindy and her family attend services in Macomb.

Had the first cook out of the year and the traditional Easter Egg Hunt for the little'uns while Dan and Jus were forced to remain INSIDE.
Should I feel old now?
JenniferI got this in my email yesterday... Guess I've had the same address for a while...
